CARRING OUT AN ERASMUS+ PROJECT IN PANDEMIC TIME

Carrying out a European project is usually laborious in situations of school normality as it involves complex management, a lot of coordination with international teams and a lot of ability to integrate project activities into the school curriculum.

European projects, and specifically Erasmus +, are very exciting for students because there is the possibility of face-to-face exchanges and get to know other countries, their schools and students.

Nowadays, in the pandemic environment we are living in, it is becoming much heavier, especially in terms of student motivation. At first, it seemed that the fact that the mobility could not take place this year should reduce the interest, and to be honest, it has been so. That’s why teachers have had to squeeze in creativity and look for captivating ways to get students’ attention.

Thanks to the telematic meetings we have been able to create bridges of communication between the boys and girls of the different schools and at the same way, the coordination meetings between teachers have been more fluid than before the pandemic.

May 9th is Europe Day and different activities have taken place at the school. On the one hand, they have enjoyed a talk to raise awareness among students about the need for our society to work for volunteers by Joaquim Millán, an expert in this field. Secondly, they have organized an exhibition to get to know to the whole educational community what they are learning about the European Union.

We are very proud of the work they are doing as we believe in the impact this work will have on their personal future.

TIRAR ENDAVANT UN PROJECTE EUROPEU EN TEMPS DE PANDÈMIA

Tirar endavant un projecte europeu acostuma a ser costós en situacions de normalitat escolar ja que suposa una gestió complexa, molta coordinació amb els equips internacionals i molta habilitat per integrar les activitats del projecte en el currículum escolar.

Els projectes europeus, i concretament els Erasmus+, són molt engrescadors per a l’alumnat perquè hi ha la possibilitat de realitzar intercanvis presencials i conèixer altres països, les seves escoles i alumnes.

Actualment, en l’entorn de pandèmia que estem vivint, es  fa molt més feixuc, sobretot pel que fa a la motivació de l’alumnat. En un principi, semblava que el fet que enguany no es puguessin fer les mobilitats hauria de disminuir l’interès, i si hem de ser sincers, ha estat així. Per això,  el professorat ha hagut d’exprémer la creativitat i buscar maneres captivadores de cridar l’atenció de l’alumnat.

Gràcies a les trobades telemàtiques hem pogut crear ponts de comunicció entre els nois i noies de les diferents escoles i les coordinacions internacionals entre el professorat han estat més fluïdes que abans de la pandèmia.

El dia 9 de maig, és el dia d’Europa i a l’escola s’han realitzat diferents activitats. Per una banda, hem guadit d’una xerrada per conscienciar els adolescents sobre la necessitat que té la nostra societat del treball de les persones voluntàries a càrrec de Joaquim Millán, un expert en la matèria. En segon lloc, hem organitzat una exposició per donar a conèixer a tota la comunitat educativa el que estan aprenent sobre la Unió Europea.

Estem molt orgullosos de la tasca que estan fent ja que creiem en l’impacte que aquests treballs tindran en el seu futur personal.

Xerrada voluntariat
